Anything mandatory in life?

QUESTION: Masters, if we have many lives, do we have to experience every scenario? Do we have to say murder in one life and be a hero in another? I worry that if that is the case, and I haven’t done that in a previous life, then I have to reincarnate to do it and obviously that’s not what I want. I understand we have free choice in every lifetime but do we HAVE to experience the good & the bad? ~Tina, England

ANSWER: There is nothing that could be considered mandatory for souls to do during their many trips to Earth. The only reason that a soul would explore all the aspects of any one characteristic would be to become a master of wisdom in that particular area of experience.

A soul has no requirement to become a master – it is an individual choice made according to each soul’s interests. This is similar to those choosing to be doctors. They may wish to go into general practice, doing a little bit of everything. Or they may choose to become a “master” at one specialty, such as learning all there is about the brain, a neurologist; the heart, a cardiologist; or the feet, a podiatrist.

There is not even a mandate to complete a lesson that was not finished in a previous life. If the knowledge is still of interest, you do it again in a subsequent life. If it no longer has an appeal, then you forget about it and move on to something else.

As to experiencing the good and the bad, that is the reason your soul comes to planet Earth, since it is the only place with a duality allowing for the use of both negative and positive choices in order to learn the lessons you desire. If you just want to experiment with a characteristic with which you are familiar, and you don’t need to understand by choosing which way to deal with it, you would select a specific planet that has only positive energy but affords the opportunity to examine all facets of the trait.

We really do mean a soul has total freedom of choice in the selections for life experiences. No one makes you do anything.

Was Jesus here before?

QUESTION: Masters, my question is one of universal curiosity. I believe in the life of Jesus Christ, but did Jesus live many lives to develop into the Master he became on earth? Did he ever live in another universe that is less violent/more positive to help him achieve his Master level? ~Cathy, US

ANSWER: The term “Christ” is an honorary title that has been used throughout history to refer to a person who is considered by organized religions as a messiah, or the anointed or chosen one who will fulfill their doctrines. In the translations from the ancient languages into modern-day tongues, the term has been attached to the name Jesus.

The soul known as Jesus of Nazareth has always had the purpose of being a “way-shower.” He has been the figure to introduce knowledge, compassion, love, and understanding to the masses of humanity. In the life as Jesus of Nazareth, he came to show the incarnated souls that it was possible to rid themselves of the negativity of the third-dimensional, ego-based world and to enter the unconditional love dimension of the Source. This is represented in the stories of his life by the crucifixion, ascension, and resurrection.

Jesus did have a number of other human lives before the life you mention. Each dealt with teaching people using oral traditions, which were the only things available at the time. It is not important for you to know the particular lives – you would recognize each of them as being a personality from historical religious records. Several major religions were brought into existence in order to perpetuate the principles he taught.

He was a Master because he spent a number of insignificant lives, at least as far as history is concerned, to learn and understand the precepts he came back to spread to others. He has visited non-duality worlds to know and understand every possible aspect that a soul may choose to encounter, and how things look when you only partake of them in a positive environment.

Needs and desires

QUESTION: Masters, I read your answer to a girl who asked how she could attract a husband, someone she would love and be happy with, and you said one can only attract something if their soul needs it. Here it is, I really want to experience marriage and a happy love life. I’m secure in my professional life and now a relationship with a man that resonates with me is what I most desire. I am trying to use the law of attraction to manifest it. Is there any barrier that could stop me from achieving it? How can I improve the manifestation? Did my soul make any contract of being alone in this life? That is really not what I feel that I need. I feel I need to experience real intimacy and to share life with someone else. ~Marcia, Brazil

ANSWER:  You spend a lot of time in your head where you tear about and analyze everything. You expect to be able to have physical, scientific proof for the hypotheses that you explore. You rarely settle something in your life by seeing how it feels or resonates within you. The reason you experience these difficulties is that you do not truly understand love.

Love is the power source of the human race. It drives desires and provides happiness in the physical realm. Your interpretation of love has more to do with ideations of romantic love than the unconditional love of Source and the universe. The way to totally understand love is to experience the degree to which you love your soul. You can only love another to the degree to which you love yourself.

We are not talking about a selfish, narcissistic love but an appreciation of the wonders of who you essentially are in this incarnation on Earth. All souls are pieces of the all-powerful, magnificent, all-knowing Source and therefore have the same abilities and powers. When not in a physical form, all souls dwell in their essential energy of unconditional love. Once they come into a human form they are assailed by negative energy, which hides that unconditional love.

One of your life lessons is to explore all aspects of love. To find your connection with love, accept who you are as a piece of Source. Love everything you have done in this life. Appreciate how far you have progressed in your professional career, and after you spend time in that unconditional love of life, finally go looking for a romantic love.

The only barrier to bringing a sharing romantic experience to yourself is your pre-conceived expectation of what that will be like. Open up to the love you have, send it out to the universe in search of like energy, and be present in the moment when it starts filtering back to you in the form of another human.

Don’t judge what you first feel until you have had a chance for both of you to get comfortable with each other.  Besides your use of the power of attraction, you have to place yourself in situations where you are accessible to others of a like mind. They will not be able to find you if you aren’t in a position to be reachable.
