Romantic love in a spiritual setting

QUESTION: Masters, I have a friendship with a man whom I love deeply. We are both teachers in a spiritual organization, working to uplift human values and consciousness on this planet. Our connection is so strong and the longing so profound that thoughts of him consume me, and at times my heart physically aches. We are so well matched in many ways it’s difficult for me to imagine any man who could fill his shoes. In this moment, he has chosen to be single and celibate, devoted to his path, but he seems conflicted about this and I know he loves me and cares for me deeply. At the heart and soul level, so connected, the love is so deep. What is the purpose of our connection in this lifetime? ~Leslye, US

ANSWER:  You are blessed to know the extent of feeling soul or spiritual love with your physical body. When you work in positive energies the sense of unconditional love is able to penetrate from the universe into the very fabric of a physical existence. Spiritual workers espouse all the virtues of their soul-essence in that they love and share their energy with those around them.

You are confusing a third-dimensional physical romantic love, which you so desperately desire, for the non-physical plutonic unconditional love one soul has for another. You understand “love” only at the level of the emotional reaction it produces in your physical body. You have reduced this to producing physical pain and a mental/emotional obsession for your friend. Your associate does love your soul unconditionally, but he does so at the level of your true nature, not the body that surrounds your soul right now.

He has no longing for you because he loves all souls the same as he loves yours. He does not need to have that reduced to a physical interaction with another body because he feels it in his whole being physically and energetically.

The conflict you think you perceive is the common one that exists with spiritually advanced people who, because they are still in a human body, have to deal with negativity around them. It is difficult to bridge two worlds. You have chosen to be together at this time so that you could observe the reactions of each other, and from them, learn the possibilities.

Deities, gods and revered beings

QUESTION: Masters, you say there is no GOD but how do you explain about deities or other beings in the Buddhist & Hindu religious traditions? Do they exist? Or do you consider them as ascended masters with no need to be reincarnated ever again in the human form? ~Laurence, Singapore

ANSWER: What we have shared in our writings is that there is no distinct supreme being, which most people call god, that exists outside of you. You have the same essence as the Source from which all life sprang. You are the same as that energy, and therefore, each person is composed of what religious organizations consider as a divinity or god.

Deities, worshiped idols, masters, gurus, exalted religious heads, are all the same. They are symbols that are part of a belief system that defines a particular religion or organization, whether it be Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, or any other named sect. They exist insofar as someone has given them a status

The title of our group, Masters of the Spirit World, is descriptive only. It does not make our essence different from that of any other soul. It merely defines the degree of expertise we possess from experience. We have each spent centuries and centuries of your time in learning everything there is to know about the topics on which we advise souls. Could any soul have done this? Yes, by taking the time and effort.

Do souls who have become masters in some areas of Earth existence ever return to Earth? Yes, if they wish to have some other experiences they have not had, or simply to enjoy the sensory inputs the human emotions and nerve endings provide them only when they are occupying a physical body.

Save me; tell me what you want me to do

QUESTION: To God, my comfort. I am 39 weeks pregnant. I am not financially or emotionally capable of raising a child of love. My relationship with the father of my child has broken down to a point where I strongly feel god is telling me this is not it. I am considering adoption but my family is against it—culture clash. I pray for clarity, strength. In an ideal world I would love to keep my baby; for that to happen I need a financial miracle. I pray for grace and feel a lot of negative energy blocking me. I pray for divine light to dissolve this so I can move on and realize the plan god has laid for me. I am hungry to hear you clearly without riddles, my comfort, my love, my god. ~Nthakoana, Lesotho

ANSWER: We are not god. It is not our purpose or anyone else’s to tell you what to do. The situation in which you find yourself was thought up by you as a life lesson before you entered the body you now inhabit. You chose very difficult lessons, by Earth standards, and now have to work through them.

Among other things you chose your family and the society in which to live. You have accepted the belief systems of your family and the locale and must now decide whether you will follow exactly what they have dictated or whether you will choose to do what feels right to you.

No one from the non-physical realm is telling you to do one thing or another; beings of the light in unconditional love cannot tell you to do anything. All the advice you think you are receiving is coming from the customs of your family. You have the freedom to choose to go along with them or to do whatever else you want.

You must make the decisions. Nothing is right or wrong from a spiritual standpoint. All the choices come from learning lessons. You may make your own choices and learn from them or follow the herd and have to work on a similar lesson in the future.

The negativity you feel blocking you comes from thinking about going against what your family wants. It also is a list of all the bad things that you feel are holding you back. You have not once talked about having any faith in yourself that you can change what is happening. Start sending out a positive stream of the way you want to see your life, and it will begin to bring change to you if you believe and don’t do anything to hinder it.

You have the energy of Source within you, and with it you can manifest what you need. If you continue to look only outside for assistance, it will not come. Start inside, loving who and what you are, and then use that unconditional love to change your life.
