Seeing past the physical realm

QUESTION: Masters for those of us who are unable to visualize (Aphantasia), will opening the third eye change our inability to see past the physical realm? ~Randi, USA

ANSWER: Aphantasia, the inability to visualize at will, is an affliction of the physical realm only. The belief of the person with this condition that it prevents them from connecting to the nonphysical realm is all in their third-dimensional mind. If you only allow yourself to “think” in terms of your experiences within the physical world, you cannot reach outside of flesh-and-blood events and what has been “seen” by your eyes to what can become a “knowing” of the existence and presence of that which you desire to “see.”

Those who live with this limitation have chosen it as a life lesson to require them to work in other ways to develop something with which they feel comfortable. This occurs by employing a more extensive use of the remaining physical senses. Just as a blind person who has never seen their own children knows, without a doubt, who they are and when they are present, a knowing can build between a person and their nonphysical surrounding.

There is a fairly new study being conducted within the psychological community concerning those who cannot produce pictures in their heads. There have been exercises developed to help a person enhance their “memory” powers. This has not worked for all subjects but depends on the extent of the lesson that was programmed into the lifetime.

Within spirituality, the seeing or knowing that other souls are present must be elevated above the physical restraints of everyday human living. Developing dialogues with your guides will open an exchange of energy that may spread to something akin to visualizing their presence. Using affirmations can become a foundation for a “knowing” of what you seek.

Opening one’s third eye helps with the transference of energy from one dimension to another, but it cannot add a layer of visualizing to the physical dimension unless it is intended to do so.

You can also experiment using your sense of smell to detect something that you cannot see but can grow to know is there. What does it smell like to cut an onion or a lemon? What effects can each have upon your tear ducts and your hands? Be inventive to enjoy and enrich your physical experience.

Who are the guides?

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019

QUESTION: Masters, do my spirit guides actually care about me or do they feel it’s just their duty? I believe one of my spirit guides is a dear friend from my past life in England during the 19th century, but I don’t want to make assumptions too eagerly. I feel it strongly and by intuition and I believe it would help me to get over the past life properly if I talked to them. I doubt guides would mind even if I would mistake one of them as said friend, but I still feel too awkward to talk to them. Would they mind? ~J., Finland

ANSWER: The spiritual realm is an environment of unconditionally loving energy where every soul has total freedom of choice. Guides make commitments to be the astral aspect of a soul’s journey on Earth. They do it willingly and voluntarily and take promises very seriously. There is no such thing as the concept of “duty” between guide and soul. Each considers that you are a friend for one reason or another.

You are correct in your assumption that you shared a life in the 19th century with one of your guides. They are from your intimate soul group and you have been together more than just this single occurrence of which you are aware. It has been your practice to take turns, when you are not both incarnate, acting as a guide for the one who is incarnate.

All your guides would relish the opportunity to communicate with you. They look upon it as a joyful part of their mentoring of you. As you probably already know, a guide cannot tell you what to do, but their job is to advise and give you information to assist in your decision making.

An easy way to slide into a conversation is to go into a meditation or a sleep cycle with a specific question for your guides on your mind. Be sure to remind yourself that you want to remember what was said. Just as you are returning to full cognition, remember what was conveyed to you. This may not work the first time, but keep trying.

Another possible way to contact them is to have a hypnotist put you under and then ask them to introduce themselves and affirm the manner in which you can establish a continuous line of communication. It is easier if you set up a space where you feel comfortable and safe and into which only energies you specifically invite may enter. This can serve as the meeting place when you want to speak to them.

Spirit contact at will

QUESTION: Masters, my Mum passed about 15 months ago. She had dementia and although I tried to be a good daughter, often I was intolerant and selfish. She was the most forgiving, loving person I’ve ever met, and I’ve been hoping for a sign or a message from her, to no avail. I don’t mean to be facetious, but would it hurt for me to see her or speak to her or feel her presence? My sister said she saw her dead cat so why can’t I see my mum? Would it be so awful for me to be reassured that she’s okay and forgives me? I can’t be the only person who feels like this. Can you say something about why contact is so difficult please? ~Karen, UK

ANSWER: First off, your Mum is great, having a good time with old friends. During the last period of her life she was not always, as you were aware, totally conscious within her body. That was all part of a life lesson for those around her. You learned quite a bit about yourself during that time – what you could tolerate and where your patience ended.

On a spiritual level nothing is right or wrong; all things are learning experiences.  You understand that your behavior at that time was not something of which you are proud. But it was created by the frustration of not having your loving Mum there to communicate with. Her soul observed but the body was unable to interact. She took no offense at anything that occurred during that time.

Now when it comes to spirit contact, you have to examine your expectations. They are keeping you from hearing/feeling your Mum. She has spent a lot of time near you, but you are looking for specific signs and she is unable to fulfill your desires. When a soul first returns Home, they sever all contact with the Earth plane and therefore enter into an amorphous, energetic state where they do not have a human-like body, so they have no voice box with which to speak.

That does not mean that they do not communicate; it is just more mentally than spoken. Instead of words you will receive “feelings.” They will be reminiscent of your Mum’s presence but not her voice. Remember the times she held you when you were upset? That is the sensation you will first perceive.

It is easiest to establish this connection as you are just falling asleep or as you awaken in the morning. Start the flow by greeting your Mum as if she were in the room with you – because she is. “Hi Mum, having a nice day?” “I remember the strength to face the day that you always gave me.” Don’t anticipate a specific response from her. Just be open to any sensations that roll over your body. Feel her arm wrap around you. That will be her.

If you have patience, avoid feeling frustrated, and continue doing these exercises, you will establish contact.
