Reality crashing in

QUESTION: Masters, I have been off work for close to a year after having a baby. I do not want to return to my high-pressured (albeit good-paying) job because I feel a higher calling towards raising my child. I believe it is spiritually important work. However, my husband has been out of work for a long time and we have been relying on our savings which are now running out. I have been grateful for his availability and support throughout my pregnancy and during the intense times of the birth and afterwards as we dealt with the medical condition of our child. We were so lucky we could afford the time together as a family, but now I am worried about finances. I don’t want to go back to work, but he doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere in his job search. Please shed some light on our situation.      ~BT, Australia

You have a very precious bundle of joy in your home who has two parents who are very concerned and loving. In your mind it is now the mother’s duty to be the primary caregiver, but your husband is willing to do that as well. He has found it so fulfilling being at home with his child that unconsciously he is sabotaging interviews for employment. He would never do anything to harm your standard of living, but he wants as much “daddy” time as he can get.

It is a spiritually rewarding endeavor to help direct the path of another. It does not have to be done full time. You have extremely strong feelings toward your child and are getting to the point of not wanting to share. This would be easy if you were not in this with your husband, so it is time to sit down and take a good look at the physical reality of your situation.

Both of you would prefer to continue the way it has been for the last year. Neither of you has been completely honest with the other about your desire to remain at home. You need to figure out a budget of the minimum that you need to get by. Then consider the possibility of both working part time outside the house. There also is the ability for you to work from home. Stop thinking in the conventional terms of your history; be creative.

Life contract or not?

QUESTION: Masters, I would like to know something about life contracts. Lately it feels like I’ve been set up by my life plan to cross paths with this girl who seems to be one of my past-life ex-girlfriends. When I did meet her, it turned out she didn’t want me at all, not even as a friend! Is this a failure of a life contract? That we were supposed to be brought together again in this lifetime yet she just walked away from it? Please shed some insight into this!  ~Ronald, Philippines

ANSWER: While still at Home, a soul makes a series of contracts concerning lessons that it wishes to experience in its coming lifetime. These will allow other souls, mostly soulmates from his closest soul group, to help him to be presented with situations that trigger lessons. Since most of the contracts are with familiar souls, the very essence of them is familiar when you are both on Earth in human form. You will also have occasion to meet souls from your group with whom you have not made contracts for this particular life. Even though you have no contract they will seem very well known to you because you have shared other lifetimes with them.

This soul does have a contract with you and it has to do with rejection. In the past life that you remember, you tried to learn the wisdom of being rejected and not having it impact your life. You were unable to get past the physical emotional reaction of being turned down. It comes along with lessons about self-worth and the ability to love yourself. You look for an indication of your self-worth in how much others love you instead of being able to love yourself for who you are.

All these interrelated lessons come down to your ability to go inside and find who you are as a soul—not who the physical being you see in the mirror is perceived to be by others. When you think of this physical woman, go into your feelings and see what you are feeling about yourself and not just the fact you are being rejected. This will help you with your lesson from the contract.

QUESTION: Masters, I’ve been on my spiritual path for a long time now. I’ve had many readings and gone to many seminars. I’ve been told many things—now I need clarification. I’ve been told I come from the angelic realm, I am a star seed, I evolved from a dolphin, and most recently, I’m an indigo. Could you please clear this up for me?   ~Jackie USA

ANSWER: What we are not hearing in your question is what you feel about all the things you have been told. First, you must ask if any of them feel right to you. Human beings create an illusion out of belief systems that become the framework of their daily life. You must ask: if any of these things are true, would they change the way you are living your life? If they would not cause you to change anything, then they’re unimportant.

Second, on the other hand, if knowing the truth about your past helps you understand something more about yourself so that you can move forward at a faster pace, then that information is important. You have been gathering other people’s knowledge in your readings and in seminars. Is it to have them make decisions for you?

Until you acknowledge that you believe in something, it is not a part of you. You can regurgitate the words of someone else and not truly feel a single concept. To know, for example, that all particles as they separated from Source were in the angelic realm is to simply acknowledge that you are an eternal soul. To find that one of your past lives was spent somewhere other than Earth is to be called a starseed. A small fraction of the souls currently on Earth have been species other than homo sapiens, but neither evolved from the other—they just chose a different form for that experience. Does any of this help you understand who you are or what you are doing here?

Indigos are souls who have arrived on Earth with some of their past memories intact. Meditate on your past and you will span several lives. Go into these lives and see what feelings arise. Work with those feelings; they are the reason you are here.
