Unable to make decisions
Saturday, October 13th, 2007Q. Masters, I seem to doubt myself all the time to the extent that I am getting afraid to make any decisions. What advice do you have for me?
A. Dear Worrier, you were raised always to please those around you without question. Now you no longer have to do exactly what your parents, relatives, church, and society want you to do, unless you choose to comply. You were told that you didn’t know what was best for you, and that you always messed things up when you made the decisions. Because of this early programming, you have no sense of self worth or of confidence in your choices. You need to start creating your own belief systems and deleting those beliefs that are crippling you.
Go back and take a look at messages in which we have discussed souls. All souls are equal regardless of the human shell they chose to inhabit. Very importantly, you are yourself an individualized piece of the energy of Source, with all the powers and abilities of Source. You are a magnificent being. Let yourself feel that way.
Whenever you are faced with a decision, step outside the ideas you have allowed other people to store in your brain, and ask your heart how you feel about the situation. If, at first, you don’t know because it is such an unusual concept for you, ask how you would like to feel about the situation. Then know that, as a piece of Source, you can do anything you want. Slowly, as you build a new relationship with the empowered you, each new situation will be exactly what you need to face to gather wisdom, and it will become enjoyable to make decisions that create this new you.
