The awakening teacher
QUESTION: Masters. There was a man I connected with in September 2011 who changed my life forever. Since then I have been on a spiritual path learning more about myself and trying to live my joy. We are not together at the moment although we do sometimes communicate. I feel as though he is the ‘one’ for me although I do not want to be restrictive as life sometimes is full of surprises. I love him, and I will always no matter what outcome might transpire. I do not want to impose on anyone’s free will but it would be such a great honor to be part of his life in sacred partnership. I was hoping if I could find out from my guides or higher self if I am ever so lucky or if they have other ideas for me about my spiritual partner for this life time. ~Nyasha, Australia
ANSWER: You don’t need to get a reading from your guides or higher self. There is no set path for your continued growth. The reason? Freedom of choice in all things.
You set up a contract to come in contact with this man so that he might awaken in you your spiritual being. There was no determination whether your connection would go beyond his teaching. He brought to you a love and joy you had not felt in human form. When someone has such a profound effect on you, it is impossible not to consider how much better your life would be with that person in it.
It is true you will never forget him, just as it is true you never forget other things, positive and negative, that have an intense impact on your existence. Don’t let this connection hold you back from embracing the future. Spending too much time in the past takes you out of the present time and blocks further growth. Strive to live from moment to moment, being aware of all that surrounds you.
Take the new knowledge you have discovered and use it to bring to you that which you wish to experience. Visualize the life you desire and it will come to you. Your teacher may come back into your life, but it will work only if he is ready and wants the same thing.
There are a number of spiritually aware men who can help you on your way. You are ready for another teacher to help you take the next step—but they are only there to show you how they got to where they are. Their path is not yours but just an example. Follow your intuition.
