Human souls, spirits?

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014

QUESTION: Masters, human souls get recycled through different lives in physical bodies, but spirits are metaphysical and live nearly eternally. Is it possible to change a human soul into a spirit or a spirit into a human soul? What would you need to do, and who would you need to ask to make this transformation possible? ~Hannah, USA

ANSWER: This is another case where the use of words is not standardized, and cross-meaning complicates understanding. Source broke off pieces of itself in order to have experiences in the physical realm. These pieces are called souls, and like Source, they are composed of energy and are eternal.

They are “souls” whether they currently inhabit a human body or are in the nonphysical realm of unconditionally loving Source. Some people refer to souls who are not in physical form as spirits. There is no such thing as a human soul, merely a human who is animated by a soul. Some say that the energy inside of humans is their spirit.

Souls are never totally in one place or another since they are energetic and may be in more than one place at a time. While incarnate on Earth, they mostly reside within the human body, but a portion of their essence remains at home with Source.

In whatever form they have, souls exhibit freedom of choice in all matters concerning their existence. The choice of lives on Earth, or elsewhere, is totally up to the individual soul. They enter physical form to have experiences not possible when they are energy. The choice of human experiences, or whether to be physical or remain nonphysical, is completely up to each soul. No permission is needed from anyone.

Can’t shut down

QUESTION: Masters, for most of my life feel like I’m over-stimulated yet tired and exhausted. I have constant ringing in my ears and intensive thoughts running through my head. I’m oversensitive to noise. I don’t feel aligned or present to my body. Recently I’ve had 3 hour past life regression session with hypnotherapist – Newtown school practitioner. At the day of session I woke up tired, ringing and thoughts were more intense than usual. I couldn’t go to trance. I was constantly disturbed by the car noise. Therapist said I have ‘strong conscious’ that stops me from connecting. What can I do to connect and come down? Shall I keep trying hypnotherapy again? I can’t meditate either due to racing thoughts. ~Dobri, Poland

ANSWER: You will not be able to go into a hypnotic trance or meditate until you give up control. The symptoms you have reported show you have an intense desire to know everything that is going on and to be able to control the outcome. You insinuate yourself into everything around you. You think you are overly sensitive but you are really being overly nosy, needing to know what is happening, even if it is only that a car is driving down the street.

Most of your difficulty sleeping when something big is about to happen results from your expectations. You have an extreme fear of things when you don’t know how they are going to end. You run over all the possible scenarios and then question the plausibility of your thoughts. You can’t relax and let go because you fear you will miss something.

In order to have the ability to meditate, you must be able to shut down your mind. To you, your mind’s thoughts are the most important aspect of your life. Your ego, based upon your judgment of things, is paramount. To go with the flow, and not get hung up on the revolving door of thoughts in your head, you have to stop looking at everything to judge how it applies to you. Let the world revolve and enter observation mode only.

You are very concerned with how you rate next to everyone else. Why? It is not going to help you understand your existence or relax and clear your head.

Start with meditation. As you place yourself in a quiet place where outside noises do not penetrate, concentrate on the sensations in your body. Can you feel the air going in and out of your lungs? Do this for a while, and if any other thoughts pop up, bring yourself back to your breath. Next, listen for the blood moving through your body. Next, ask a question and listen for an answer.

Be patient; keep trying until you can shut off the outside noise. If you are having trouble, start doing a walking meditation: You walk, and as you stay alert to the possible obstacles under your feet, you will notice the internal noise will lessen and then disappear.

Who’s being selfish?

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014

Question: Masters, I have a complicated relationship. We love each other very much, but we have very different perspectives on life and that has always been a problem, because he’s very childish and sometimes selfish. I’m now pregnant and he’s going to another country to work for more money, even though I asked him to stay with me. I always choose to love unconditionally, but this time I feel the urge to do something for me and my baby, instead of just letting it be his decision once again and hanging on to someone that doesn’t seem capable of being responsible. Am I being selfish? Could I be throwing my happiness away? ~Andreia, Portugal

ANSWER: It is a fact that you cannot get people to do something they do not wish to do. Your mate loves that you love him unconditionally and takes advantage of that fact. He is selfish in many ways since he really only thinks of himself and his desires. He is not concerned about you or the baby.

Getting the opportunity to leave you for a job away from you makes him able to justify not being around to help as you get ready to have the child. He won’t be there for the child care and sleepless nights. He doesn’t see this as anything he should be or wants to be involved in. He can barely take care of himself; how is he ever going to be able to take care of a child?

You are not being selfish; you are being reasonable. You see that your opinions should have an impact on the relationship, and he refuses to accept that. It is time to decide if you wish to start making your own decisions instead of going along with everything he wants. It is time to take back and assert your power.

You will have to define what you see as happiness. To some it is allowing others to make all the decisions and not having to take any responsibility. To others it is using their freedom of choice to control their life and making all the decisions concerning their existence.

Nothing is right or wrong. There are many ways to learn lessons in this life. It is your choice if you wish to remain in this situation or change it and look for another. Happiness can generally be found where you feel good about yourself and the life you are leading.
