How long are you responsible?

QUESTION: Masters, I have a step-son whom I raised as my own since he was 2, now 31. Unfortunately he chose to escape his problems through meth which caused severe brain damage and drained us financially. He refuses medical help, yet he is always talking with people in his head. He gets violent and has spent time in jail. Back home, he is unable to work or care for himself. My husband and I love him but are afraid of more violence. Has he attracted earth-bounds? Is this karma? ~Sandi, USA

ANSWER: Your stepson chose a very difficult lifetime. He has never taken any responsibility for anything he has done. He has been bailed out by his loving parents and has taken full advantage. You agreed before coming here to share this life with him. For you and your husband it is to recognize that at some point you must leave him to his own devices and honor yourselves and your journeys.

You are not responsible for your stepson and his problems. He is not in a position to work on himself because he feels he does not have to; someone will always come to his rescue. It is time for “tough love.” Put him out – find a halfway-type house for druggies or those with mental problems and let him learn that he needs to take responsibility for himself and get the help he has refused. He is not beyond hope, but he has to make the choice to ask for help. As long as he has you running interference for him he will never change.

All souls come to Earth to see if they can learn to make choices for their own growth and understanding. As long as they are not put into the position of having to make those choices, they will take the easy way out of relying on others. Stepping away from your stepson at this time does not mean you don’t love him. It shows you love him so much you want to force him to be in a position to get help.

He is an extremely negative person and does have other negative entities around him. None has entered his body, but they will remain close to him as long as he stays so negative. In this condition he is potentially dangerous to you and your husband because he thinks you will do whatever he wants you to do as long as you allow him to remain in the house, and if you refuse he will try to force you.

This is not karma because karma, as understood by Eastern philosophies, is punishment for bad things done in the past. Karma does not exist after you leave the negativity of planet Earth. This is just an example of life lessons jointly agreed upon.

QUESTION: Masters, by reading spiritual books, I have come to know that in spirit world, in higher realms, spirits wear special a robe, prepared from special material, which keeps high positive vibration inside it & keeps the spirit positive. Same way when these spirits visit lower realms, they wear such robes that those reflect negative energy. I was wondering if there is any idea/material/things at planet earth which can help to conserve positive vibration with us and reflect negative vibrations? Would you like to advice? ~RK, India

ANSWER: There is no negativity once the soul leaves the proximity of Earth and the physical body within which it had stayed. The soul is energy and has no shape, body, or other covering unless it chooses to use part of its power to produce one. Most choose to just exist as energy in the entirely positive unconditional love of the universe where everything is perfect. In other words: no body, no negativity, no need for something to repel negativity!

The only place that has negative energy is planet Earth, which is referred to as the third dimension. This is a place controlled by the ego and where everything is judged. When the body has ceased to exist (died), the soul that comprises its essence of unconditional love generally returns back Home, which we call the fifth dimension. This is a place devoid of any negativity and judgment.

People who have reached levels of enlightenment, and those who have left their physical bodies but have chosen not to return to the fifth dimension, are in the fourth dimension. Those who are on the ascension trail got there by working on themselves to shed all negativity from their lives. Those who are stuck, not able to rise above the negativity, have made the conscious decision to stay in negativity.

Whether you are in negative or positive vibrations is a personal choice each soul makes. You don’t need a physical “robe” to help you choose a physical state of being. Part of the process of enlightenment is learning to repel the negativity surrounding you and choosing to see things only in the positive light.

Any “spiritual book” that writes of positivity being aided by a material is based upon information that sees things only in an egotistical, judgmental manner. Souls on a spiritual path don’t need anything but their own intention to accomplish what your reading matter says exists. It is written for people who don’t want to do the required work to get wisdom; they just want a simple “cloak” to make them invisible to the big bad negative world. Sorry, that is a Harry Potter invention.

Addictions with psychosis

Tuesday, December 17th, 2013

Masters, I have been smoking about 24 years. I quit once but I started to hear voices and became psychotic. I really want to quit but when I deny myself I feel clogged. On the other hand, I have teeth issues and don’t want to lose them.  I used drugs in the past and had an experience, the first psychotic episode, with an angry old woman who told me about my future, who was she? Was she even real? Why is psychosis so similar to everyone who experiences it? In my last psychosis I felt that everything in me was taken away. I tried to meditate to find the light but I felt nothing but emptiness. Now I’m interested in heart meditation. I have noticed that when I turn inside to meditate there is always some kind of interruption, many times I get sick. Is that because of the fear of it? ~Theo, Finland

ANSWER: You are in the midst of a “poor me” dark night of the soul. You know what is out of balance in your life and you have made the choices to continue rather than work your way through to a different approach to life. The “poor me” aspects come from the fact that you want to be comfortable rather than go through the withdrawal necessary to leave these addictions behind you. That’s your choice.

The dark night of the soul is the experience of feeling nothing but emptiness. You have hit a bottom of sorts where, with nothing in the way, you have the option of filling your world up with only positive thoughts and intentions of your own. You can allow the old things you don’t like to come back, or you can rewrite a new life without those destructive addictions. Again, your choice.

Your fears are controlling your existence. If it isn’t comfortable or familiar, you stop it before you even see what the result will be. You have created blockages so you have an excuse for not moving forward. You have used hallucinations, such as the old woman, to shut your thinking down so you don’t find constructive avenues to success.

Everyone’s experiences are different. Psychotics all connect to some energy that is beyond the physical so they think they are going to the same place and seeing the same thing but it is only their perspective. Take one step at a time. See what is having the most negative impact on you and begin to change your thinking about the strength you have to change your life. Then choose to change.
