Masters of the Spirit World

Q: Masters, I’ve read that animals who have passed over remember the humans who loved them and sometimes even show up to meet the souls of those humans at transition. As a child, my dearly loved cat Muffy was given to a shelter by my mother while I was at school when we needed to move into a restricted apartment. This was nearly 50 years ago, and I still think about how scared Muffy must have been to be taken by strangers. I wonder if her soul knows that I was powerless to prevent what happened.

A: Some animals have interchangeable souls, human to animal or vice versa. Muffy was not one of these. She has always chosen to be an animal. The energy that is within animals also chooses what experiences they seek to have. She had chosen to be in a situation where she would be ripped, so to speak, from her comfortable relationship with you. You had chosen to be the one left behind to deal with the thoughts and fears that even today are still bothering you. She did move on to another family with a sick child whom she took care of. She died at approximately the same time that the child did.

Rest assured, animal energy is the same as human souls when they return Home. They go out of Earth’s judgment and into unconditional love. She has visited you on a number of occasions, and at this very moment is in a ferret body in Tennessee. If both of your schedules continue as they are going now, she will predecease you and will be there waiting for you when you return.

It is time for you to let go of the residual guilt you are carrying. Realize that you are only responsible for yourself and are not guilty for the actions of your mother. This was another lesson for you in going with the flow of the soul’s energy and releasing Earth shackles (emotions) that try to ensnare you.

Dear fellow souls, we would like to talk about your word and concept “friend.” Some of you judge how prosperous you are in your world by how many friends you have. We would like to ask you, at what cost do you have these companions?

Many humans define friends as those on whom they can depend to always be there for them. Others feel that friends are not true unless they will sacrifice themselves and their lives for whatever is asked of them. Are you beginning to sense that the definition can vary depending upon the viewpoint?

The underlying lesson here revolves around responsibility. On a soul level you are responsible only for yourself, and you cannot truly know yourself until you assume responsibility for your own actions. Those who seek to have their friends take responsibility for their enterprises so that they do not have to do so themselves, are turning away from the lessons they came here to learn. “Friends” who step in and shoulder all the obstacles are facilitating their comrades in not learning and thus in having to repeat the desired tasks.

Love your friends enough to say “no” to them when they want you to deflect the lessons they need to learn. Be there for them so they may talk through the experience and learn from it—that is being their true friend.

The Masters of the Spirit World

Q: Masters, right now in my life I feel lost and worried about my path. I have many different things that I am interested in doing, but the problem is I graduate from college in a year and I am afraid that I will get sucked into paying my loans and repeat my parents’ problems all over again. They exist by living from paycheck to paycheck. I want a different life. I want to be financially independent and have abundance.

A: The first thing you must do is to stop fixating on what you don’t want and start visualizing what you do want. Your thoughts have the power of manifestation. If you keep saying you are going to be just like your parents you will fulfill that prophecy and will become just like your parents.

Instead of being negative you need to define for yourself what financial independence and having abundance means to you. Then, being realistic in terms of your age and experience, see how you can begin reaching those goals.

What are you qualified to do? Start there and move forward. At your age very few people know exactly what will satisfy all their needs, and remember, your needs will change. You have had a number of prior experiences, each one preparing you for the future. You have already drawn to yourself the things you needed to experience so the past has laid a foundation for the future. It may not be readily apparent now but it will be.

Part of your upbringing has been steeped in draining all the confidence and self-worth out of you, making you question everything. Realize that you are a part of Source and as such are as magnificent as everyone else and endowed with the ability to create your future reality.

Honor the power within and go where your feelings direct you.
