Soul’s nighttime activity

QUESTION: Masters, you have mentioned before that the majority of our soul enters the spiritual plane while our physical body is asleep. Does that have anything to do with why we sleepwalk and sleep talk? Do the things said or done have anything to do with what our higher self is doing at the moment, or are they simply random? Your answers are very much appreciated. ~Xuehen, Singapore

ANSWER: While the physical body needs time to rest and rejuvenate, the soul does not. To sit all night inside a body that is unconscious is wasted time, so your soul goes visiting. Sometimes you will visit friends, other times relive a section of a prior life or try out an experience that you have observed others having.

Your higher self is the unconscious aspect of the human body that contains your memories and history of experiences. These experiences include things that your body has done or observed. These observations may be of actual occurrences or ones recorded by others, including movies, novels, and the imaginings told you by these people. The physical experiences are also contained within the brain.

The body may be involved in one activity while your higher self is involved in another. Your mind may be replaying a sporting event you participated in, while your higher self is learning about expressing unconditional love in various ways. Since the mind is in control of the physical body, its activities may be reflected in motion within the body while mostly asleep. This may be movement such as in walking, or it may involve a talking out of the situation the mind is working through.

That is not to say that the higher self never has an impact upon the physical body while it is at rest. It may, but it rarely does.
