Fact or Fiction?

QUESTION: Masters, I met a man during a spiritual course two years ago and felt very spiritually drawn to him. There was instant psychic attraction between us. But there was great fear in me about this psychic experience and I stayed away from him even though all my intuition was screaming for me to contact him. Six months later, I did contact him but all my feelings got in the way and I ended up being rebuffed by him. It’s been 2 years now and I still can’t get over him even though we are almost strangers. I don’t know what to do and how to get rid of this ‘addiction’ to him. Please help, I’m desperate!  ~Usha, Singapore

ANSWER: Spiritual courses cause all kinds of energies to go screaming around a room. When you “feel” the energy of another person of the opposite sex for the very first time, you sense that you are meant to be together. This then creates an expectation of how great the union would be. Either a few words or, frequently, none at all are exchanged, yet you feel bound to the person.

Making eye contact, touching, or hugging a person during one of these events may trigger within you a desire to continue the contact because it initiates a physical reaction within you—when the feeling is not mutual at all.

This brief encounter has allowed you to learn a lot about yourself. It has helped you put your fears of reaching out to another on hold. You have overcome the emotions which say you are not good enough to be accepted. You were rebuffed not because of your feelings but because he did not get the same sense about you that you had about him.

The addiction that you feel you have is the need not to return to the personal emotional insecurity of before the course. You have to go out and open up your senses to other males around you. Get a sampling of what they are like. See what appeals to you and then strike up a conversation. Holding on to your expectation of this man is preventing you from having a satisfactory relationship at all. It is not real; it is imaginary.

Dealing with your essence

QUESTION: Masters, I’ve been told that I do not need to get a Oneness Blessing because I was born with it. Why is this so? And I seem to talk in a strange language sometimes during meditation. May I know why this is so? Lastly, I’ve had this weird feeling that I have a dragon as a guide. May I know whether this is true or just wishful thinking? If it is true, why is it so?  ~Celine, Malaysia

ANSWER: All souls are part of the Oneness, the Source, all that is. Most, however, do not have an understanding of what that means and look to others to initiate them into the awareness of their own being. This initiation takes many forms, such as receiving a blessing, a mantra, a chant, or some other symbol of a mystery that they desire to receive and understand.

All things that are mysteries to you in physical form are knowledge of yours in soul form. People who have spent time on understanding this spiritual journey in which they are involved recognize that everything is within them and they can access it if they have faith in themselves. You are on such a crusade of knowledge; if you open up your senses you will find the answers within. You do not need to be anointed with a symbol to believe in yourself.

Being an older soul you have had many lifetimes. During these lives you have spent time on every continent and in most of the possible ethnic combinations. In some of these lifetimes you have been a record keeper of the mysteries that were known to that time period. Your talking in languages is your higher self, from that time period, reciting your beliefs. When you begin meditating, ask that you translate your knowledge into something that is usable for you at this time.

When you planned to come into this life you envisioned that you would need the tenacity and strength of the dragon to complete your lessons. Since souls do not have a specific form such as the human body you now inhabit, another soul, who was contracted with to be a guide for you in this lifetime, thought it would be fun to assume the appearance of a dragon. Your soul has always felt connected to dragon energy. Look upon it as your favorite animal totem.

QUESTION: Masters, this world has always seemed foreign to me, and I feel more connected to the afterlife than to this one. When I was thirteen I tried killing myself to escape this world, and a booming voice told me I’d regret it if he allowed me to die. Years later, after the end of an abusive relationship, I had a dream, and in that dream I saw my spiritual partner and was told I’d meet him soon. Well, I did, and we’re happily married. What we have between us is beyond extraordinary. The fifteen-plus years with him have been the happiest years of my life; however, there has to be a purpose for me personally in this life. Two years ago, I was crying to the universe and asking that very question. The next day, an idea out of nowhere came to me, so I grabbed a pen and paper and started writing feverishly, not knowing what it was I was writing. To my amazement, I was writing about my suicide attempt, a spiritual journey I took, and my life afterwards. I now have a novel and am seeking representation for it. I have a strong sense this book needs to be out in the world. I feel this may be my purpose in lifeto teach people about our spiritual selvesbut there are times when I wonder if I’m kidding myself or not. I think it’s the human side telling me that, but I want to know what you think. Is this my purpose? And how come since the day I took my first breath, I’ve always had a homesickness feeling?   ~Becki, USA

ANSWER: You have always had a stubborn streak carried into the lifetimes you have had. You make all kinds of plans of lessons for yourself and then procrastinate as to whether to even start the life. This results in your entering the planet with the desire not to be here at all.

Each soul contains within its memories the essence of the unconditional love of Home. When things seem to be difficult or not going the way you think they should, the desire to return Home before completing your assignments seems like the only way to go. This can also occur when you have just completed something and decide it would be great to reward yourself with a trip back Home. Souls who open to their inner feelings all carry this sense of not belonging here, accompanied by the wistfulness of the joys and pleasures of Home. Why remain in this wretched place when Home is just a breath away? You merely need to stop breathing!

All souls have the purpose of remembering who they are, and bringing forth their essence into this light. One of your lessons was to understand that you could walk away from your abusive situation without having to end this life, and then move into a companionship that helped you to understand yourself. Your tool to do this was to claim your journey—the telling of your story. You can now enter into a stage of sharing that will help many other souls with their understanding by making your journey available to them.
