Masters of the Spirit World

QUESTION: Masters, I am 62 and feel I have experienced a move forward in my spirituality and open-mindedness in the last 2+ years. Last month, I was diagnosed with cancer and two weeks later, my husband was let go from his job. This is the fourth time he’s been let go from a job in the last 15 years. The previous times, I would fall apart and become very anxious and depressed. This time, even with the cancer, I’m handling it much better emotionally. Did I choose these circumstances? For what lessons? Am I calmer this time because I’ve advanced somewhat in my spirituality? ~Pam, United States

ANSWER: Everything a soul experiences is either because of choices they have made before coming to Earth, or concerning lessons they are currently undertaking. You chose to explore loss of control, anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and lack of self-confidence. You held a huge concern for the opinions of others and doubted your own intuition and knowledge.

Your husband is very laid back and unaffected by the opinions of others. He does not play well with others, and it appears as if he is constantly disrespecting people. Employers and co-workers put up with it for a while and then rebel and refuse to work with him any longer, hence he gets fired or laid off. His lack of concern for his situation has always played right into your lessons, resulting in panic for you.

As you have grown spiritually, you have come to realize that you create your own reality, and the way you respond to things is also your choice. You also believe that the universe will not give you more than you can handle at any one time. This gives you a sense that you have more control over your situation. You are much more relaxed, understanding your lessons and that you can create your reality by the choices you have made.

Your depression was a lack of any firm impression about your surroundings. You left that up to your husband and chance in the past, but you now take an active part in its creation. This is because you have thrown away your self-doubt and lack of self-confidence. Congratulations! These are all results of completing your lessons and moving ahead spiritually.

QUESTION: Masters I wonder if life is fatalistic, according to the spiritism of Kardec, the book of spirits, after the spirit chooses the kind of proof that will be lived, everything is ready in the smallest details, can no longer modify any detail the chosen and The mind can only choose between interpreting the event in the face of fatalities, accepting that knowing that everything is created by God. ~Beto, BRAZIL

ANSWER: The journey of the soul that proceeds through a series of human lives is not fatalistic. The way the soul learns things and gains wisdom is through exercising their freedom of choice. There would be no choice for anyone in any situation if everything were already determined to the nth degree.  

A person’s reality is created through the beliefs they adopt or accept during any particular lifetime. If your philosophy of life includes the belief that there is absolutely nothing you can do to change the life you are living, then that is how things will appear to you.

What can you possibility learn from a situation, or how can you affect a circumstance, if it is all set up for you and you just float along with no involvement? When souls choose the lessons they wish to pursue, it is with the understanding that they will just decide the framework so that they might experiment and see what appeals to them once engaged in the activity.

Souls are pieces of Source energy (or God, if you prefer) and therefore have the same powers and abilities that energy possesses. So, it is true that all is created by what you refer to as God because, in this case, that is you. It also stands to reason that once you make a choice about something, you are not stuck with it but may change your mind or modify the elements.

When you talk about a movement such as that adopted by Kardec, you are speaking of the belief system that worked for him and his followers. You may accept that if you wish, since you create your own reality, but you also get all its limitations.

QUESTION: Masters, I have heard this from a source that tells us that half of the people on Earth are without souls and belong to a “Group soul” like animals do. I think I’m one of them and when I interact with others, I am supposed to be stealing soul energy from others. Are all these valid? ~Orion, USA

ANSWER: Souls come to Earth in order to have experiences within the duality of negative/positive energy where they can learn about their abilities. The vehicle enabling this is the human body. No human body can be animate, that is alive, without the power source of a soul. Every person on the planet has its own soul, and when the soul decides to return Home, the body ceases to function.

The concept of “group soul” would defeat the purpose for incarnation. If the soul does not have the ability to use freedom of choice, it is outside the framework of learning from its actions. The only reason a soul enters a body is so it might have the capability to learn from the lessons it chose before coming.

The spiritual journey of all souls is a singular expedition. No one can make the decisions for each soul but itself. Your soul chose to have a life on Earth. It picked all the variables that make you who you are so that it could be presented with the lessons you sought to explore.

All souls with whom you come into contact while you are in human form exchange energy. It is one of the principal ways they learn. When it comes to making your freedom-of-choice decisions, you do so by examining the various amounts of negative and positive energy that are present and then choose what resonates with you.

Souls can also give up their freedom of choice by following the demands and ideas of others without engaging their own senses at all. This is what you have done. Since each soul creates its own reality, you have adopted the beliefs of another and hold them to be your reality.

There is nothing wrong with this because it is part of your lesson of self-awareness and self-confidence. You may continue on this path until it no longer serves you or you can step back and examine the energies that are being thrown at you. Stop thinking about the beliefs given to you and start feeling for your own essence.

Every soul is a piece of Source energy broken off to have individual experiences. Therefore, you have the same powers and abilities of Source, but you must first accept this as a truth, bring it into your life, and let it help you understand this journey you are having. You can then begin to live your own life.
